NewBlue GPU-Accelerated Plugins Now Compatible With Grass Valley EDIUS

LA JOLLA, CA, April 03, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ — Video effects innovator and technology developer NewBlue, Inc., today announced its NewBlueFX GPU (graphics processing unit) effects collections are now available for EDIUS 6, the professional non-linear editing (NLE) software from Grass Valley.
Among the key features of GPU-accelerated plugins are faster render times, real-time playback, and improved central processing unit (CPU) performance. NewBlue said its developers performed speed tests that cited average render speeds up to 6X faster (with some render times as high as 60X faster)
